2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 AshtonMcCobb (1446) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 8, 2012
Bottle at the Lochview Motel. Pours lemon with some head. The nose is mostly pale malt - like porridge oats in a way. The taste has more of the pale malt but with a citrus zing on the end. The palate has a light body, with a creamier than expected texture and a dry refreshing finish. Overall, this was better to go back to than I expected.

27.5 cll bottle, Sheffield, UK. Medium gold, nice hoppy aroma of spice and grass, with some skunkiness in there. Sweet flavour, then some pepper, and a funky finish.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 weaselkenievil (1094) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2007
UPDATED: JAN 16, 2008 Too dry for my liking and average at best in the falvour department. I’m not really a pilsener fan, I had no other choice. Didn’t like it much but I did get to stare at a fit chavvy lady while I drunk it. And United won.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 BlackHaddock (2350) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2012
Jan 2007: Small brown 275ml bottle, 5.0%, brewed somewhere within the European Union for ’Carlsberg’.
Looked good, crisp, clear, golden yellow with a head that was whiter than white (as the Daz adverts used to say).
Do lagers smell of anything really? No, this one doesn’t either. Just a beery, yeasty, hoppy, malty, weak mix.
Fairly dry in taste, I drank this while making a Beef Lasagne, this is a kitchen drink, not for serious supping. Can’t get excited about it, but it is not bad enough to slag off, all in all, a typical European fizzy lager.
