After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and evenly of structure. The beer also contained not much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear golden color and a light hoppy bitter taste. The after tast of the beer is light hoppy bitter with a malty touch. This beer smells malty.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2010 Drank from the can so I didn’t catch the appearnce. Not much aroma from this beer. Rather hoppy with a bitter finish. Nothing fantastic from this beer but it is cheap...

Almost the same crap as Hansa Export. I will never ever again drink any of these two so called "beers" again!

500ml can. Malty and hoppy aroma. Pale amber. Firm, long lasting head. Flavour opens slightly sweet, builds up to graininess and finishes metallic bitter. Overcarbonated and too watery.

Pours clear yellow, Aroma of malt and saaz. Smooth refreshing, hoppy. Not bad at all. It is very much what I have come to expect from Hosten, a decent affdordable European beer. As for the pils. Its pretty good.

Bottle in Knightsbridge from a supermarket. Golden body with decent head. Straw and grainy nose. Taste is bland and grassy. Not so much to it. Some bitterness in the finish.

Bottle: Pale golden, lazy carbonation, quite stable firm white head; minerals, metal and straw in the nose, combined with waves of a harsh bitterness; light bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied to watery; metallic, tart bitterness in the short sweet-bitter finish. Poor.......
