Pours a deep auburn with a big beige head, nose of treacle toffee and plums, good balance of sweet and bitter on the palate with plum and burnt marmalade notes, then a bitter and slightly dusty finish. Decent but not inspired.

Pours a clear copper colour with a small white head. Caramel malts, citrus and mild hops on the nose. Flavour of the same elements with some nuts. Medium bodied, watery mouthfeel. Average, like the other Joseph Holt beers I’ve tasted.

50cl bottle, local store. Poured clear, copper color. Thin white head. Aroma was caramel malt and hops. Flavor fruity hoppy, with some malty tones.Ensds slightly bitter. A bit too light and could have been more bitter. But enjoyable nonetheless. Traditional bitter.

Pours deep clear brown red with tanned head leaving nice lacing. Aroma heavy of malts with hints of caramel, hops and dry hay. A bit watery, but still good malty and hoppy flavor. Acidy bitter on palate. Finishes short with bitter hoppy aftertaste.
