omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 3, 2008 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear amber, rich creamy head. Predominantly caramelly nose with some hay, maple syrup and paper. Light to medium bodied with dense, rounded mouthfeel. The hay-like hops turns to salty bitterness in the finish. A mid-intensity, rather streamlined beer with just a slight note of maple syrup. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Feb 5, 2007 Bottle. Sweet and flat. Tastes like their other bottled stuff. Kinda malty, kina hoppy, sweet honeyed sort of flavour, but unbelievably stale, and flat. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Apr 13, 2007 500ml bottle, Booths. Pale chestnut colour with thin beige head. Faint sherberty hop aroma, some candy sugar and tehn sherberty hop finish. Cascade hops are really quite nice. Grapefruity. Oh dear, the pasteurisation neuters the malt. Hops are good though. Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England Jan 2, 2008 A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from The Bottle Stop. Sim and I had this with David in his hotel room following his mum’s wedding reception. Was hoping this would drown out the memory of Robbie "Slug Slime" Williams finishing off the disco. Sadly it was not up to the job. Standard blone looks with a slim white head. Creamy malt aroma with slight hops and some very faint wooden notes from the maple. Pretty poor flavour. Very very slight maple and a hoppy finish with some rather rank tobacco. Probably a 4 in all honesty. No night time pleasure here. Maria (4380), Thisted, Denmark May 3, 2007 Dark golden with a nice head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and maple syrup, and it’s full-bodied and well balanced just like the flavour, that has some sweetness, notes of caramel, syrup and a light citrussy bitterness. A really nice one!
