KyotoLefty (3760) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 19, 2010
Cask at the Old Monkey in Manchester. Rich caramel-flavored dark malt, with good hopping to go along. Still rather light at 3.2%, but good flavor. Slightly sweet with a very dry hop finish, more hops than I was led to expect for a mild. Nicely drinkable.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2010 Cask, Maltings, York. A pleasure to re-rate this after what must have been an off cask last time. This is a fine chocolatey dark ruby mild, with a balanced bitterness creeping in and a malty smooth finish. I could really have drunk a lot more of this.
