Cask at Chapel Beer Festival. Hazy gold beer. Low carbonation. Light dry palate. Light dry malt. Medium bubblegum. Finishes pineapple and grapefruit without being too bitter!

Straight from the cask at Arkell’s Brewery Beer Festival 2010. Golden coloured. Spicy taste with hint of onion in the nose (not overpowering). Not as hoppy as I expected.

Cask at the Crown and Anchor, Manchester. Slightly amber ale. Fruity, malty aroma. Has a round, fruity malt flavor; relatively sweet, but with great hopping to balance it out. Light to medium body, with a smooth, full flavor. Great hop finish that is long-lasting and bitter. Excellent.

A golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has light notes of lemon hinting of infection. The flavor is acidic malty combined with lemon - not good.

Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (280708)

A Mes rate: Bottle at La Mort Subite, Altrincham.
Attractive amber gold colour with a thin but stable white head. Good bitter hops and a lick of caramel that is typical of Holts. Slight lemon sourness in the finish with plenty of bite. Not bad, certainly one of the better Holts beers.

Rastacouere (5923) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 1, 2007
Clearish amber pour deploying soft carbonation and a tall, thick, creamy off-white foam. Smooth and creamy ale with flowery, earthy and spicy hops that accompany us from start to finish. Rather generous toasty, yet pale malt base. Slight citrusy acidity. Well-rounded palte ale with a diplomatic bitterness.
