Excelente Strong bitter ale inglesa de Manchester, aroma caramelado de malte, gosto multado com amargor honesto. Lembra uma porter, porém com amargor de bitter inglesa. Excelente! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl bottle at the Ape and Apple, Manchester. Very dark reddish brown, close to black, with an off-white to beige head. Lightly roasty aroma with dark fruits and caramel. Sweet and fruity with a nice malt flavour and a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Well balanced. Medium body. Nice and flavourful. (2013-01-26)

500ml Bottle: best before 20 Dec 2012, poured @ home into a UK pint sleeve on 15 Nov 2012. The beer was obtained from my local B&M Bargains Store. Nice deep, dark ruby red colour with a full uneven covering of tan foam on top. Brown sugar type malty molasses in the nose and taste: this is a malts first and foremost brew. Prunes, plums and mixed nuts vie for your attention in the flavours as the malts and hops go to work with each other. The body is moving towards rich and thick: the beer reminded me of those old winter warmers because it has that sort of Christmassy fireside taste and palate. Cheap to buy: well worth the cost and Ill be getting some more in for December.

Very dark but clear ruby-tinted beer with an off-white frothy head and a very sweet, fruity smell. Not that strong in the mouth but a sharp, fruity aftertaste. Doesnt taste nearly as strong as it is and its one youd have to be careful with!

500ml bottle from B+M. Reflective ruby with a slim beige lid. Invitingly rich, malty aroma with suggestions of prune, christmas cake and Curly Wurly. Fine, doppelbock-accented brew exuding muscovado and cocoa-sprinkled dried fruits; malt loaf, slight cough medicine and black cherry (Tunes). Pretty good.

Pint bottle poured into a large chalice. Dark ruby with beige head. Coffee and prune aroma. Really rounded toffee and dried fruit flavour, with the fruit predominant. A bit of orangey citrus marmalade reveals itself. Full bodied, slightly sticky flat carbonation. There are many of them, but tthis is a lovely "fruitcake" beer

Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark berry - nutty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark berry - nutty, chocolate - roasted mat, sweet berry - chocolate malt, burnt caramel - malt in the back ground.
