COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first flagship beer in the Holy City arsenal is our version of a traditional Bohemian-style Pilsner, with significantly amped-up hops, imparting a wonderfully sharp bite to what’s already a dry, crisp affair. This beer will quench your thirst and please your palate all in one glass…but we bet you’ll want a second.

One of the better pilsners I’ve had recently. Aroma is spot on, noble hops are prevalent. Bitterness is not overwhelming and balances the malt well. Flavor is outstanding. Reminds me of being in Germany.

Keg @ Holy City. Golden pour with a modest white head. Light herbal hop on the nose. Summery meadow and hedgerow hoppiness. Taste is clean, slightly chalky. A bit of biscuit and white grape. Strong carb, deft. Good.

Draft at brewery. Pours a brilliantly clear light yellow with small white head. Nose is slightly catty and grassy. Taste is immediately bitter with almost no malt presence. Maybe slightly bready. Moderate carbonation. Very quaffable and quenching. Would drink lots in the summer.

Pours gold with white head. Nice earthy aroma a little corn. Taste follows, earthy little malt corn sweetness and a nice balanced bitterness.

Draft at Holy City. Clear golden color with bubbly white head. Pale pils malt aroma with piney and grassy hops. Clean, crisp pale malt and piney hops throughout the flavor with a quick dry ending. Nice drinker on a hot day.

On tap at Charleston Beer Works, Charleston. Clean, bright, effervescent golden pour. Soft nose of understated hops, some grain, maybe even a touch of lemon. Buoyant mouthfeel, very lively on the palate. Taste is just average, though, with not enough of the grassy, peppery qualities I savor in the style.
