Black like I love them to be. Coffee cocoa smell and taste. Good brew from an even better state.

Bottle shared at the Foothills bottle share... thanks for setting it up, Mike! Light, milk chocolate notes with slight coffee presence. Graininess in the finish for a sweet, rustic, slightly vinegar ending.

Tap @ Holy City. Dark brown pour. Looks like mud, thankfully it doesn’t smell like pluff mud. Aroma of roasted malts, hints of chocolate. Tastes roasted, nice burnt malt sugar notes. (4016)

Pours a oily dark brownish black on tap with dissipating tan head. Aroma is chocolate and roast, hints of English yeast. Taste follows, add some soy notes. Nice and thick but also easy to drink and quaffable; good stuff.

light chocolatier porter. Mildly sweet. Not bad. Some roastiness. Not sure why make a lighter beer at 5.5%.

Well this is a nice SC local micro-brew porter. Pretty standard attributes for the style: off-black appearance, coffee/cocoa flavors, roasty chocolate malt finish. Did feature an exceptional smoothness and creaminess- this texture on the palate was the highlight. If you're ever in South Carolina or in Charleston in particular, this is your go-to porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

On tap into pint glass. Beaufort. Appearance: dark brown with small tan head. Mostly Opaque. Aroma: roasty. hints of chocolate. Taste: mildly bitter. Small amount of sweetness as well. Palate: medium body. Well carbonate for frothy texture in the finish. Overall: a decent beer. Less flavor and body then expected for a porter. Drinks more like a dark ale.

22oz bomber via trade. Upon opening this one it began to foam up but stopped as it began to bubble over. Upon pouring it was like 85% huge foamy light beige head with a thinner density of pitch black. Aroma was solid, dusty chocolate, touch of band aid, milk, hint of vanilla. Palate is overloaded with fizziness, medium body that is slightly milky and a quicker fading aftertaste. Flavor suffers from the gushing, light chocolate, dry dark toast, milk, some dark fruit skin. Something is defintely off with this beer.

22oz shared thanks to dmac. Pours a dark brown color with a HUGE foamy tan head. Big chocolate notes, caramel, and smoke. Taste is slightly sour, roasted coffee, chocolate, burnt chocolate, nail polish remover, and hints of caramel. Might be infected due to the amount of carbonation and off flavors.

Draft @ GABF 2013. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty caramel and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

On tap @ Tommy Condon's - Aroma of roasted malts with hints of nuts and chocolate. A solid dark brown pour with a thin head and minimal lacing. The taste is nutty with hints of coco and roasted malts. Small but welcomed bitterness in the finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, a nice session porter that was refreshing on a warm Charleston afternoon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
