Bottle share at the Syb Pig in Boca Raton, FL. Thanks Ken! Pours a mostly dark brown-black with a one finger tan head. Head gone in under 60 seconds. Little lacing. Used a snifter. Aroma of roasted malts, hint of coffee, dark chocolate. Taste fell a little flat. You get the roasted malts fine but it just seemed to not exude much in flavor. A little thin for my taste regarding a porter. Medium body, light carbonation. Finish is roasty and slightly bitter.

Draft at Fleet’s Landing (SC). Pours brown/black with slight tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate, charred wood. Some brown sugar notes, baked bread, sugar cookies in the taste. Lighter in body than expected but delicious.

An excellent porter that Holy City could build their brewery around! Really enjoyed this brew!

Dark brown? Room lighting as poor. Tan head. Aroma is sweet and roasted malts. Taste is similar with a little chocolate to start and coffee to finish. Nothing really strong.

Pint glass filled from 15 minute old growler fill. Pours clear, dark red-brown; near opaque with a decent sized but weak beige head. Lots of sweet caramel malts in the nose but the flavor is dominated by darker roasted malts. Excellent and balanced aftertaste with some coffee and a hint of dark chocolate. Feel: medium body and carbonation.

It poured a dark brown color with a thin tan head. The aroma was notes of roasted malts and chocolate. The taste was of roasted malts, cocoa, coffee and a bitter hop finish.

Growler share thanks to Homer. Pours dark brown, almost black. White head. Aroma is mild roasty. Taste is light, roasty, mild coffee. Very drinkable. Pretty tasty, but a bit watered down for me.

Growler share thanks to Homer321. Dark, nearly black pour. Huge roasty and coffe aroma, light choco notes. Not as much roast in flavor but smooth, light chocolate, nutty, silky.

Draft at the brewery. Nose is full of chocolate and cocoa powder. Pour is opaque brown with almost no head. Taste is a chocolate bomb with a light sweet maltiness that is just great. Slightly sweet but not cloying. A very light roast to coffee note in the finish to help dry it out. This is great stuff.

Bottle shared at the Foothills bottle share... thanks for setting it up, Mike! Light, milk chocolate notes with slight coffee presence. Graininess in the finish for a sweet, rustic, slightly vinegar ending.
