3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle thanks to David. Pours a quite clear orange hue with a medium white head. A pretty thick and creamy head. The aroma is sweet fruity malts, alcohol heat. The flavor is nice; tangerines, spices, zesty, some dryness, light heat, a somewhat bitter finish but overwhelmed by loads of sweetness. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2012 Bottle, Tapping the Vine. Finally got this one after a friend recommended it. Nose is slightly yeasty with heavy hits of citrus and spice. Nice golden/redish amber color. Flavor is exquisite with cinnamon spice, citrus and grape/plum accents with a lingering banana sweetness that carries this beer off with a nice finish. Sweet and enjoyable. It has a belgian flavor but a uniqueness all its own. Definitely recommended.

From the 12oz bottle. Deep amber pour with a thick off white head. Citrus peel, coriander and a touch of maple in the aroma. Lots of Belgian character in the taste with heavy emphasis on the spices. Very easy to drink for the abv and good on a warm winter day.

12oz bottle. Pour a lightly hazed orangey caramel with very small ring of a head. Orange malty sweetness with a hint of candi sugar and a hint of minty booze. Sweet candi sugar, cake batter and pineapple in the flavor. Lacking yeast character.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nose is full of candi sugars, belgian yeast, oranges, apricots, and menthol. Pours orange amber thin sheets of lace and a little foam on top. Flavors of menthol, alcohol, light colored raisins, sugars. Carbonation moderate. Finish hot and mentholly. Not my favorite.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draft at FBG Fest 2011. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is the essence of Belgium- yeast, banana, light tropical fruit, malt, some grassy hops, and hints of berries. Flavor is similar with lots of fruit and fruity esters to go around. Enjoyable and very Belgian- plus well-hidden alcohol; medium-bodied, a bit syrupy, and a sipper/
