Bottled. Orange coloured. Unclear. Dense beige head. Aroma of spice, light fruits, spice, caramel, brown cookies. Flavour of spice, ripe fruits, alcohol, caramel. Medium bodied. Ends on a fruity and alcoholdense note. Not really my thing.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Plovmand. Pours golden with a slight haze and a tiny off-white head. Blueberry aroma - strange. Solid body, sweet fruit and sweet malts. A little yeast. Warming alcohol. Doesn’t really have much Quad character at all. 270411

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Poured a dark amber/orange with a small fizzy white head that was fully diminishing and had poor lacing. The aroma was of light grain malts, a mild citrus hop and a sweet belgian yeast with notes of banana, apricot, corriander, maple syrup and had a mild alcohol tinge. It tasted moderatley sweet with hints of banana, citrus and corriander from the begining and stayed pretty much throughout with the finish having just a little sourness to it. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and syrupy and creamy in texture with a flat carbonation. Overall all it was a good tasting brew that did a great job of concealing the high ABV, although it was just a little sweet for my taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2012 On tap @ Cigar City. The body was a nice and hazy golden with a bone-white head. Aromas were mellow and yeasty, with a thick and pleasant fruity scent as well. The taste was quite refreshing for a 10% (well-hidden) brew. Lots of delicate and dry citrus notes in this one, and malt backbone is bittersweet, like a fine honey. Not that bad, and very session-able.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours hazy orangy copper with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is rock sugar, fruit, citrus, mango, hops, black peppery spice. Tastes a bit sweet, with rock syrupy pale malt, apricotty fruit, hops, spice, and florals. This one is very rich, very good, although ti gets a teeny biy hot and cloying late. A true diamond in the rough.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is a quad? really? I would not’ve guessed. Gold, with a decent sized white head. Very sweet aroma - Like orange juice and vodka or something like that. Lots of fruity flavors - orange, banana, pineapple, and a boozy finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle thanks to David. Pours a quite clear orange hue with a medium white head. A pretty thick and creamy head. The aroma is sweet fruity malts, alcohol heat. The flavor is nice; tangerines, spices, zesty, some dryness, light heat, a somewhat bitter finish but overwhelmed by loads of sweetness. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2012 Bottle, Tapping the Vine. Finally got this one after a friend recommended it. Nose is slightly yeasty with heavy hits of citrus and spice. Nice golden/redish amber color. Flavor is exquisite with cinnamon spice, citrus and grape/plum accents with a lingering banana sweetness that carries this beer off with a nice finish. Sweet and enjoyable. It has a belgian flavor but a uniqueness all its own. Definitely recommended.
