3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dull amber. The aroma is spicy (astringent coriander) and fairly yeasty. Malty, a little bit gluey, sweet with cinnamon and other spices in the background. Not particularly refined. A drinkable beer, though, that would be better if it was a bit lighter.

This is a confusing beer- not good, but not bad. First and last time I'll try it. Do yourself a favor and try something else.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel color with a medium sized foamy orange-beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy honey and chamomile. The flavor was sweet sugar, tangy malts, honey and golden fruits. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

Holy mackerel, this beer brings it with every drop. This is a well positioned brew that gives out as much as it takes.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice crisp light copper and bronze coloured body with a good thick three centimetre tall tan head that leaves a relatively ugly lace. Aroma of candy, yeast, alcohol, apricots, apples, pears and a hint of flowers - nice and strong. Full-bodied; Strong malty flavour up front with quite quite a bit of candy and caster sugar tastes, some subdued yeast elements, hits of honey, bananas, figs and flowers, all finishing with a good body and robust dryness. Aftertaste shows a good blend of dry oak and floral notes coupled with a lot of residual sweetness from the caster sugar. Overall, a surprisingly nice beer with a smooth profile (expected from the age) and a robust finish. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from The Corner Store (Bait & Tackle) in West Palm Beach, Florida on 30-December-2013 for US$3,59 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 06-March-2015.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Pours a hazy amber/orange with a creamy, but quickly dissipating head. Banana and tart fruit aromas, some alcohol there as well. Banana in the taste with an alcohol burn, Muddled, some nice notes, but overall not very nice. Improves as it warms with some pleasant Belgian Triple notes, banana, clove and spices.

Golden in color with a sweet, fruity aroma that makes you think summer in a glass. Smooth, crisp mouthfeel; goes down easy with no alcohol aftertaste. An excellent Belgian Strong.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, thanks Jared! Sweet Belgian candy sugar with notes of banana and caramel. Pours cloudy amber colored with half a finger of off white head with good retention and and excellent lacing. Very rich, sweet beer with the candy sugar most prominent at the start with notes of banana and caramel. Finishes smooth with some spiciness of the Belgian yeast coming through at the end. Interesting take on a Belgian trippel.
