Dull amber. The aroma is spicy (astringent coriander) and fairly yeasty. Malty, a little bit gluey, sweet with cinnamon and other spices in the background. Not particularly refined. A drinkable beer, though, that would be better if it was a bit lighter.

Bottle from Liz. Pours copper with a very slight white head. Aroma is yeasty/dusty. Med body. Flavor is sort of barley wine/roast malt - with some brown sugar (barley wine?). There’s some citrus and some yeast/spice. Perhaps a bit floral. I call this Belgian barley wine. Very different. So it takes some getting used to - and I have.
