ryan (1774), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Apr 2, 2008 Courtesy of argo0. Hazy pale body with a small white head. The nose is sugary sweet with caramel, toffee, golden fruit and herbs. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter with honey, cotton candy, herbs, golden raisins and dough. Medium/full body is rough with moderate carbonation. Peregrinari (53), Washington, Washington DC, USA Apr 2, 2008 Kind of middle of the road golden. (whatever that means) So so. blah blah blah blah blah That should take care of the stupid low character alert. jjuf1853 (467), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Apr 2, 2008 Bottle pours a clear amber/honey color with minimal head. Sweet aroma that also includes pear, yeast, spices, and alcohol. Flavor is mostly sweet and malty at first followed by a little bitterness and noticable alcohol presence (but not overpowering). 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Apr 1, 2008 Not a bad belgain. looks a bit more golden to be a BS, but the alcohol certainly backs that up. aroma is typical belgain sweet and yeast. This beer had nearly no head and was filtered. flavor was also typical. nothing to get excited about. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Mar 29, 2008 12-oz bottle received via trade with jayg. Pours clear dark yellow with an average, rocky, white head, lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, straw), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of banana and apple. Medium bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate acidity, bitterness, and sweetness. darn1207 (528), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Mar 29, 2008 12 oz bottle. smallish white head w/ a gold amber pour. smells sweet - honey. tastes sweet - butterscotch, honey, spices, banana, malt. finishes heavy on the yeast. not my favorite. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Mar 28, 2008 Golden slightly cloudy body with a small fizzy head that lasts only moments. Aroma is balance of floral hop and sweet malt. Flavor is sugar, malt, fruit, and alcohol. This is a nice beer from the Florida Beer Co. Thanks Daknole! daknole (2803), Plantation, Florida, USA Mar 15, 2008 Updated: May 5, 2009This is a suberb beer, especially great for a beer brewed in Florida(we dont have a lot of great breweries here!). If you didnt know you might think you were drinking a Belgian beer. Fairly strong aroma and flavor. Pours a slighly copperish color with a quickly disappearing head. Nice sweet flavor on initial taste, gives way to a perfectly balanced hop finish. Great with wings! Superb on tap and good in the bottle too.
