Jan 3, 2008 12oz bottle 2007 bottle. thanks to xnoxhatex for giving this to me for being willing to hang out with him for a few hours. it wasn’t worth it. pours clear golden with spotty white head. nose of sweet grains, banana, cloves. flavor is really sweet grainy, lots of banana, some citrus, and mild spiciness to it. alcohol practically numbs the tongue. just way too sweet and over the top.

Dec 31, 2007 12 oz. bottle purchased at D’s Six Pax. Pours slightly hazy salmon, lavender hue, thin white head. Aroma is dried fruit, acetone, fresh grapes, cheese. Flavor is dried fruit, malt, wheat, grass. Not terribly complex and would probably be better if it was aged.

Dec 30, 2007 Spicy, alcoholic, honey aroma. Medium mouthfeel with sticky sweet finish. This beer is just too sweet for me to enjoy. Tastes under-attenuated.

Dec 21, 2007 12oz bottle from SoLan. Fairly sweet aroma. Honey, sticky caramel and a fair amount of fruity esters. Pours gold/orange with a thin white head. Lots of rich honey sweetness and dry and spicy yeast on the tongue. Almost a bit syrupy. Rich, with just a bit of cloying sweetness.

Dec 18, 2007 yellow body with a small white head.typical golden belgian aroma of bananas,yeast,cloves,hay,and earth.flavor is much of the same with a bit of caramel sweetness.its not bad but @ the same time i cant see why anyone would rate unibroue or likes any higher.

Dec 18, 2007 Slightly hazy golden/amber coloured body with a nice dense tan head and larger bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of strong toffee and golden syrup, yeast, wheat and a bit more sweetness - very nice. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong sweetness up front of raisins, figs, grapes and some bananas - chewy body with a good malt backbone. Aftertaste shows a mild bitterness, some nuts - but mostly sweetness. Overall, a very nice trip/belgie strong, not a bad offering from an american brewer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tampa, Florida on 17-December-2007.

Dec 17, 2007 12 oz bottle thanks to Summer Santa. Lots of bready yeasty aromas. Some spice. Fruity on the flavor. bright fruit and more yeasty bread. Pretty good.

Dec 16, 2007 Bottle from Total Wine in Naples, FL. Pours golden with white head. Aroma of banana and belgian yeast. Medium bodied with a slight stickness. Initial flavor of Belgian wheat malts, banana, pear, that is countered by a subtle herbal bitterness mid palate, along with some biscuity notes. More sweetness comes out as it warms. Semi dry and yeasty finish. Not a bad Belgian style beer.
