This Golden Ale is Belgian-Style, yet with a Florida twist! Handcrafted in small batches using the finest all natural ingredients, including German Plisner malt and Czech Saaz hops. Quite a refreshing, yet complex beer… that will only mature if cellared for 2-3 years. -Ideal serving temperature 45f.

Weak aromas of yeast and some fruit. Poured a somewhat hazy golden color with a small white head. Excellent flavors of sweet yeast and citrus fruits as well as some bubblegum. Not one of the sweeter Belgian Strong Ales I have had but a good beer nonetheless.

(Rating #2414)

12 oz bottle from Spirits RB. Pours a clear golden/orange with a smaller bright white bubbly head. Initiial aroma was very floral, with notes of yeast and grains followed up with banana and tangerine rinds. Medium bodied with a dry finish and average carbonation. Flavor of yeast and dry toast, to a lesser extnent some fruity esters. Not bad but not knocking my socks off either.

2009. 12oz bottle. hazy orange under a medium sized white head. soft aroma with peach, yeasty marshmallow, bubblegum. flavor is similar to the aroma with lots of the bubblegum and some overly ripe bananas. moderately sweet. not that impressed.

Bottle. Crystal clear yellow/orange pour with little carbonation. Aroma was bready bubblegum. Flavor was heavy on honey, malts and finished syrupy with a little bit of hops. Decent HM beer, but wouldn’t trade for again.

On tap at Raleigh WBF. Pours a cloudy light orange with a decent white head that quickly settles down. Aroma of lemongrass, faint yeast, orange peel, coriander, grassy hops- almost a little skunkiness. Taste is very sweet with light fruits, white sugar, cotton candy, and lots of cloying alcohol. Light-bodied and fizzy on the palate. Not bad- but for this style it is not even close to par.

Draught at the WBF in Raleigh. Nice orange, cloudy appearance with a big white head. Has nice fruity yeast aroma, and flavor is similar, with hints of orange peel, spice. Light body, sweet finish.

Recieved this one as a bonus in a trade with Dakine. I do enjoy almost all Belgian strong ales. it’s so smooth you would never guess it was 8.5% abv.
