2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught at Braukunst Live, badged as Holy Shit Double IPA, green hoppy nose over a malty body with a vegetal bitterness, doesn’t seem so well integrated.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle shared at a tasting at Mastikim. Thanks Koelschtrinker for this bottle! As Holy Shit Ale. Cloudy yellow. Aroma of somewhat stale hops, a bit fruity. Sour and citric flavor with a bit of stale hops in the background, a grainy note and a metallic finish. Very strange, definitely infected.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle from Berlin Bier Shop. Really enjoyed this, has a wheetos aroma with an indulgent helping of fruity hops and a rye-like bitterness from the malts. Had no idea it was a Christmas ale, and has none of the spices associated with Christmas beers. Very drinkable with alcohol hidden well. Another good Schoppe beer!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from my secret santa from Berlin. Thanks a lot Kayka! Hazy amber body with a beautiful thick, creamy, really stable, white head. Fantastic aroma of tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, some pine and also a present malt sweetness. Taste is bitter/sweet, with more citric aromas and a honey-like and grassy, sweet malt backbone. The mouthfeel is medium, oily, maybe a bit too less carbonated and with a very good, pretty bitter and fruity finish, with a light astringency. Overal really tasty! I don’t get why this is rated so low? Offering a great hop bite, a wonderful tropical fruit explosion and a good balance between sweet and bitter, this is nothing less than one of the best (D)IPAs from Germany in my opinion!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Cloudy orange golden color with a big frothy white head that leaves a nice lacing.
Aroma: Heavy tropical fruity and malty.
Palate: Medium to full body. A bit sweet, and a fine bitterness. Average to flat carbonation.
Taste: Very tropical fruity, grapefruity and a solid malty back. Extreme well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Maybe a bit to much tropical fruity. Otherwise fresh and nice.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with Grima

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass brownish-copper coloured, small head. Wunderful fruity-hoppy aroma. Starts intense hoppy, flowery, modest sweet. Dry background. Fruity like peaches. Finish more dry less fruity. Not bad!
