3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ben4321 (2995) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 5, 2013
Location: Draft at George & Dragon, 4/4/13
Aroma: The nose has some dank hops (not juicy at all), plenty of resin/pine, and some bready malts
Appearance: It pours a darker caramel color with a lasting off-white head and some drippy lace spots
Flavor: Flavor-wise, this one is fairly heavily bitter/hoppy, and it isn’t really very sweet at all
Palate: The body is medium, it has a fairly smooth feel, soft carbonation, and a heavily dry finish
Overall Impression:
I may have enjoyed this one more because I’ve been drinking too much watery Spanish Lager this week, but I liked this one. The hops are definitely more bitter than flavorful, and it could probably benefit from something to balance the bitterness, but damn, this one was needed.

At BBF. Orange colour with white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma, bitter and slightly hoppy taste, with some sweetness.

Nice hoppy locally brewed IPA. It is best tried on draught, although the bottled version is better than most bottled IPA’s. Great name too.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 heavy (1956) - Split, CROATIA - DEC 14, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 26, 2012 23/11 0.5 l bottle @ L’Espumossa, Barcelona, recommended by the waitress. 5.9% ABV, 114 IBU. It poured hazy copper body with medium sized head. Fruity, elderflower aroma with touch of caramel malts. Flavor was bitter, herbal hoppy with elegant caramel malts that created very pleasant sweet note. Medium bodied with very nice and long finish, only sweet at the aftertaste. Very nice brew, although using more quality hops for aroma would make it really awesome. Good recommendation, thanks!

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2013 Botella de 500ml. Vaso de ½ Pinta. Saboreada en agt´12. Brota con color ámbar anaranjado y tintes rojizos a contraluz. Apariencia algo velada. Paladar suave y voluptuoso. Cuerpo medio a intenso y carbonatación moderada. Textura oleosa. El sabor de lúpulo en el intermedio aporta un final de amargo intenso y resinas en el retrogusto. Sabrosa y buena, con tendencia al lúpulo.
500ml bottle. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on agt´12. Pours orangish amber in color, reddish tints to the light. Chill haze. Off-white & creamy froth. Crown shows fairly good retention & leaves a thin layer on top when dissipated. Herbal fragrances, lavender notes, toasted & caramel/crystal malt aromas to the nose. Dense maltiness at first sip followed by ripe fruit -apricot & peach- flavors. Voluptuous & smooth palate. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Oily texture. Hop bitterness in the middle provides a sharp bitter finish & resins on the aftertaste. Flavorful.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 21, 2012
My Bottom Line :
Fleeting cheesy aroma hops are saved by lean caramel malts and bitter leafy resins in this flavorful yet erratic IPA.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam tops the hazy amber.
-Malts are also a tad biscuity.
-Hops provide more bitterness than flavor.
-The nose is quite deficient for what is billed as a hoppy brew.
Bottle.
