3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft @ brewery. Served in the krug so hard to see but has a characteristic long-lasting head. Smells great, a little yeasty, a little sweet, and very fresh. Cask ale-like palate with low carbonation. Dry finish after fresh juicy grain body. Good liquid fare. Totally Franconian.

bottle, mit Dank an pivnizub! Clear golden colour, mid-sized creamy white head. Aromatic herbal-hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, lovely malt flavours combined with fine aromatic hops. Bitter-sweet, with a grassy-resiny hop profile and a lingering finish. This beer has a lovely rural character.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(from the tap at the brewpub) Clear, golden colour with a dense, medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly dusty and sweet pale malt aroma with fresh herbal, nettle-like hops. Moderately bitter flavour with a light balancing malty sweetness; good herbal hops profile; light to medium bodied with a soft and mellow, well-matured mouthfeel; malt-accented, slightly hoppy finish. Moreish brew with a rural touch (10.02.08).

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Diacetyl on firt sniff and first taste. palate is otherwise quite clean and crisp. Bready malts, grassy hops, typical flavours i would expect in a German helles. This was boring.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled - Pigs Ear BF. A straw coloured beer with a slight orange hue. The aroma is sadly, badly tainted by diacetyl. The taste has orangey fruity hoppy notes with some toffee malts also. Toasty and quite tasty.
