Beershine (5218) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2009
Draft @ brewery. Served in the krug so hard to see but has a characteristic long-lasting head. Smells great, a little yeasty, a little sweet, and very fresh. Cask ale-like palate with low carbonation. Dry finish after fresh juicy grain body. Good liquid fare. Totally Franconian.

bottle, mit Dank an pivnizub! Clear golden colour, mid-sized creamy white head. Aromatic herbal-hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, lovely malt flavours combined with fine aromatic hops. Bitter-sweet, with a grassy-resiny hop profile and a lingering finish. This beer has a lovely rural character.

Bottle:Golden coloured, lively carbonation, firm, creamy, persistent white head; pale malt and aromatic herbal hops in the nose; soft creamy MF, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; "oaky" traces in the sweet and grassy-hoppy finish. Good, solid and well crafted.......

0,5 litre bottle @ the billet. good old german brew, bit dusty in appearance, heavy almost woody aroma. tastes of germinated malt and has quite a character of its own

(from the tap at the brewpub) Clear, golden colour with a dense, medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly dusty and sweet pale malt aroma with fresh herbal, nettle-like hops. Moderately bitter flavour with a light balancing malty sweetness; good herbal hops profile; light to medium bodied with a soft and mellow, well-matured mouthfeel; malt-accented, slightly hoppy finish. Moreish brew with a rural touch (10.02.08).

Bottle at ronnies. Unfiltered and quite hazy. Aroma is sweetish pale malts with grainy notes. Taste is similar on the sweet side of balanced but very drinkable indeed.

duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2007
Bottle. Diacetyl on firt sniff and first taste. palate is otherwise quite clean and crisp. Bready malts, grassy hops, typical flavours i would expect in a German helles. This was boring.

Bottle Pigs Ear BF. Clear gold colour. Bit of puke, bit of cereal. Bit of butter. It’s reasonably pleasant, crisp carbonation.

maeib (8640) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2006
Bottled - Pigs Ear BF. A straw coloured beer with a slight orange hue. The aroma is sadly, badly tainted by diacetyl. The taste has orangey fruity hoppy notes with some toffee malts also. Toasty and quite tasty.

Standard lager color, vanishing little white head. Hoppy, mildly fruity and floral aroma, pretty nice. Medium bodied. Nice pilsnerish flavor with hops and crispy carbonation bite. Fruits last in aftertaste with mild floral tones.
