Countbeer (1943) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 23, 2011
Draught: Medium vast off white creme head on top of a hazy dark amber colored beer. Smell oatmeal, malts, darker sweets/candy. Taste spices, darker ingredients, herbs, toasted malts, hint of brown sugars, hint of herbs. Nice hoppy bitterness. Nice bitter herby aftertaste. Low to medium carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy texture.

Tap @ Willems&Zn, Grobbendonk. Opaque brown color, nice thick beige head. Smell malts, slight sweetness and some hops. Taste malts and bitter. Firm carbonation, full body.

Kunstemaecker (27) - Steenkerke, BELGIUM - SEP 23, 2011
A well done dark version of the classic Hommelbier. Tried it on tap. Caramel and malty aroma, not quite dark in appearance, rather an amber color. It taste sweet in the beginning but that soon gives way for that typical hoppy taste that is Hommelbier. The alcohol is well masked by the caramel and hops. I thought it was a lighter beer than it really is.

2/07/2011 on tap @ Oostendse Bierjutterij (2011-299)

Note: one time only in Belgium, to be exported only.

Pretty cloudy amber to reddish brown beer, nice light beige head, unstable and a bit adhesive. Aroma: some caramel, bit grassy, hops. MF: light carbon, light to medium body. Taste: caramel, citrus, hop bitters. Aftertaste: very bitter, some chocolate.
