COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust, deep copper American style IPA with rich toasted and woody malt flavours and a distinct spicy hop bitterness and citrusy aroma. Honest Town IPA is infused with whole Centennial hops using our Hopback system which enhances the retention of volatile hop aromatics. Full hop flavor and aroma rise above a balanced malt backbone. Made with Nugget, East Kent Goldings, Cascade and Centennial hops.

Cask at dba Brooklyn. Pale golden pour. The nose is a bit sweet and lightly hoppy. A little bit of orangey citrus. Light lemon and a bit of odd astringency. Chewy though in spite of that. Assertive hopppiness that helps to cut the sweetness, but it would have helped to have been less sweet to begin with.

On tap at the Dark Horse Tavern, Southbridge MA, 13 November 2009. Clear ginger colour. Not a massive, blockbusting IPA but tasty and well balanced. Just a good, well put together, hugely drinkable IPA. Very fresh.

Cask at Brooklyn dba: Hazy amber with a fading off white head. Fruity hop aroma- some mild specialty grains (crystal) under a soft peachy and resiny presence. Slick oily body. Fruity resiny hop flavor- along with a peachy presence. More crystal malt graininess comes though towards the back which is dry, long and has a lingering bitterness. A simple but solid IPA.

on tap-pours a rich off white head that laces and hazy amber color. Aroma is mild sweet medium malt. Taste is lots of medium malt-toffee, tea-herbal/resin hops. IPA meets ESB?
