Poured a golden clear color, no real head to speak of or lacing. The aroma was strong honey flower, light honey, some pears. The flavor was all honey with a nice subtle honey-wine kick, light fruits as well. This went GREAT with the poundcake served after dinner, a really nice treat, turned me back to meads for the right place and time. Enjoyable.
3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerbill (2938) - Laurel, New York, USA - JUL 23, 2007
750 ml bottle. Bottle lists the alcohol content as 12%. Pours a crystal clear gold with no head and no carbonation. Strong aroma of honey and flowers. Beautiful aroma. The honey flavor is initially a bit sharp. It reminds me a bit of buckwheat honey, which has a strong flavor. Definitely sweet and bordering on being cloying. An aggresive mead for those that like strong honey flavors.

On draft at Smoke and Barrel, Zymatore series from B. United. Nose and flavor are marked with touches of honey, apricot, further stone fruit, touches of white wine (sauvignon blanc), and honey sweetness. Dries out quite impressively on the end of the palate, particularly considering the 13% alcohol. Pretty nice!

Barely any smell, pours like liquor. Tastes very sweet, but dries or your mouth. Finishes dry and clean.

May 2007 - I have no idea how to rate meads. Immensely floral aroma...honeysuckle flowers. Very flowery taste of honeysuckle. Not overly sweet...I prefer this to the sickly sweet Apis Japwidgeakaeeka (however you spell it), but I couldn’t drink too much of this.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2007
Still new to this mead thing - this one aint too bad. Golden-honey color. Aroma is sweet with some honey and light grape. Flavor has a nice honey flavor but leans toward a the white wine side a little too much, as would be expected with a dry mead. Mouthfeel really improves the longer you drink it - nice mead.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 marchcow (664) - Coralville, Iowa, USA - SEP 21, 2008
Sweet sour aromas, with a clear light golden color, Flavors of honey, sour citrus and flowers, mild palate with a slight stickiness. My first mead - so I guess I thought it was pretty good.
