Pours clear, orange/yellow. Wonderful full mouthfeel, aroma of alcohol, spices, dark fruit, herbs, and honey. Sticky with lots of legs, reminding me of rooibos tea. Apples, honey, cinnamon, clove, and a bit of spicy heat. Finishes suprisingly dry, but leaves a nice taste to ponder. My wife mentions that it does taste "African" to her. Very nice and interesting mead. Tasted @ 60F.

Had this one on tap at max’s. Haven’t had many meads before and have never rated one. This one was an orange color. Fairly sweet. Almost too sweet for my liking. i would have liked to drink a little less of this. Alcohol was not present however which is quite impressive for being 13 percent.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma of honey and raisin with a herbal touch. Raisin sweet flavour with some herbal notes

Clear brilliant gold. Smells of winter spices, like the Christmas section of a Hobby Lobby. Sweet incence, rose, cinnamon, some kind of Christmas nostalgia spice...lovely. Nice warm flavor with cinnamon, Christmas spices, spruce, Christmas candle wax...like drinking a Christmas decoration isle.

Bottle @ chriso. Pours a clear yellow color with no head. Has a sweetish spicy weak herbal honey aroma. Sweetish spicy honey flavor. Has a sweetish spicy herbal honey finish.

Bottle at Chris O’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Golden color. Sweet tart honey with cinnamon, heather, roiboos and anise. Taste is dryer and more tart. Nice exotic mead.

Lovely blossomy aroma, and of course honey backing that up. Again glassy and slick like the fig one. However, in the mouth this is simpler. It’s tasty and lively and fun, but too focused on the herbs and spices in a way that detracts from the honey rather than complementing it. The fig one in contrast had a synergy between the fruit and the honey. Still nice though.

Clear light medium yellow colour with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, spicy spciy honey, spices. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, spicy, honey, cinnamomme ! Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat, fininsh feel is light moderate alcoholic. [20110730]

Huge aroma of herbs and spice, cinnamon, menthol, sweet honey. Spicy flavor, cardamom, honey, sweet citrus fruits, Chai, elderflowers. Smooth and rich. Crazy herbal stuff.
