3fourths (7797) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Bottle at the brewery, best by February 2014. Copper colored body with a short white head. Toasted Vienna malt caramel / toffee, almond / marzipan, buttered bread, light minerals / mineral water. Medium body, frothy and soft carbonation, grassy hop bitterness balanced well with the semisweet malt. Not very complex but well-made and again it is in good shape.

Bottled (during last night in Hotel). Deep orangeish amber colour with mediumsized off-white head. Quite dark colour for being oktoberfest/märzen. Aroma is bready and caramelly malts along with some wooden and mildly grassy notes. Flavour is quite much the same in a pleasant balance. Refreshing, even though had at room temperature.

Oakes (11779) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2009
Amber-brown. Very toasty nose with a slight woody, caramelly note. The wood and caramel character emerge further on the palate. True malty festbier with a woody hop accent.

Beershine (5195) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2009
Referred to as "dunkels" but I think he was just saying that to differentiate from say a helles. From the bottle. Is brown-amber with a thick off-white head. Bread crust aromas are very nice and clean. Dark bread. Nice quaffable, low carbonation. Flavors are slightly metallic but still nice.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear golden with a white head. Very clean malty nose. Rather full body with a solid and clean malt base perfectly balanced by a good and dry hoppiness. Solid craftmanship. 040408

Ungstrup (28448) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 6, 2008
Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a collapsing off-white head. The aroma is sweet mlaay with strong notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.
