Yellow-orange body with a diminishing white head. Both aroma and flavor is vanished by butterscotch and caramel.

Bottle from Fristo Getränkemarkt in Bamberg. The beer pours out in a hazy golden-brown colour with steady head and medium body. Aroma of hops and wheat. Taste of mild hops, straw, basement, grains, bread and wheat. Smooth to drink, solid beer.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, malty, wheaty, not too dry. Light sourish notes. Finish still mild, well balanced and quite drinkable. Not bad!

Tap @ brewpub in Nov, 2013: Burnished golden. Broken small-bubbled white foam. Hopcentric nose of fallen leaves, fennel seed, and a mixture of peppery, herbal, and woody Spalt. Characterful yeasty rusticity. Light note of minerals and DMS. Snug and fluffy carbonation. Stiffly mineralic and potently sharp and crunchy with toasted nuts and toffee kissed with a hoppy, fallen-leaf dryness which harmonizes with the deeply woody, drying flourish of candyish Spalt. Rustic pistachio-tinged yeast pervades and augments the core with considerable weight which consequently muddles things. Alcohol overexerts itself, as well. Splash of floral softness deepens the more rustic aspects with a bit of elegance. Finely detailed malt is multilayered and exhibits a well-structured firmness which unleashes stacks of toffee, hay dust, and toasted bread amid ongoing leathery pecan skin accents. Closes with some mineralic grip along with a woody and candyish hop signature. A hop-accented kellerbier with enough character to keep things interesting. It’s quite likable initially, but the yeastiness, among other minor blemishes, become distracting as you spend some time with it. Not too shabby.
