Nov 8, 2007 Bomber poured clear copper with thin tan head. The aroma was a bit light with sugary and roasted malts mixed with mild grapefruit hops, faint spice hops and a dash of pine. The taste is a quick bolt of sugary malts followed by fresh grapefruit hop bitterness. The hops soon become floral and spicy as roasted malts surface and take the flavor into the finish. A lingering mild bitterness, biscuit and caramel malts float for a while into the after taste. It ends a bit thin.

Sep 23, 2006 On tap at the brewery. Fruity on the nose, a bit sweet. Cross between amber, and copper in color, unique. Great sweet mouthfeel with the taste of grapefruit, and honeydew melon. Nice, lightly bitter hoppy aftertase. Worth the time to drink.

Aug 17, 2007 Bottle. Hazy copper hue. Nice hop aroma - strong but not overpowering for an IPA. Definite orange smell with dough hints. Bright, upfront flavor with mild bitter aftertaste. Moderate carbonation.

Feb 10, 2005 Gusher: Hazy bronze (bottle conditioned so the yeast came back into suspension due to the gusher effect). Head is alien and exotic in shape after the massive head dissipated. Not really lacing anymore, more like pillows. Nose of grapefruit, cedar like wood & citrus notes, light tart with yeast. Sour/tart flavor not sweet at all, almost like an orange/banana smoothie at one of the new chic juice places. Thanks Ken!

Aug 17, 2008 Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy citrus aroma with some piney hints. Malty hoppy bitter flavor with hints of grapefruit and pine needles. Fruity malty hoppy bitter finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Aug 1, 2008 On tap at Hood Canal Brewery in Kingston, WA--Poured a deep orange-amber body with a thin off-white head. Nose of gritty, piny, citric hops and caramel malts. Nice grapefruit presence. Nothing spectacular in the spine, so I assume this beer is just an off beer masked by a big hop bill. Not bad, though.

Nov 7, 2007 22. No infection! Yay Hood Canal! Clean Beer! Rock on with your fancy selves! Pours dark coppery amber with a slim white rim of sudsy fluff. Lightly sour orange pith nose with plenty of pine counterpoint. Light, almost watery body, and a bit undercarbed. Sweet orange and pine on the mid-palate, with a nice long resinous finish. Not too shabby. Nice to see them stepping up.
