| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Deep, rich brown color with a foamy tan head that left attractive lacing on the glass. Toasted cereal grain nose. Dark caramel sweetness with lots of roasted grains and burnt toast flavors. The burnt really comes to the fore in the finish, and gets a little tangy and a little astringent. Functional example of what I consider to be a bland style. Brewbie (220), New York, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Pretty decent brown ale. Ours a great brown color. A touch of hops on the nose, but nothing that jumps out at you. Very smooth and fairly light for a brown ale. the guy at the beer store said it would be good on a summer day, and I’d have to agree. Decent beer. jgb9348 (2495), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Deep dark brown coloured body ~80% opaque with a nice light tan head. Aroma of nuts, roasted malt, hops and a bit of yeast. Medium-bodied; Malty flavour with nuts most potent and a dose of caramel following soon behind. Aftertaste shows some character - more malt and an english hop or two and some metallic tastes too. Overall, a decent brown - not my favourite style by any means, but decent to try! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 05-April-2008. sinkr (218), Lusby, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Draft->shaker: Pours a small, white, diminishing head atop a amber body. Light aroma of malt, but not much beyond that. The body is light, the texture is creamy, average carbo, and a short duration that is lightly sweet. This beer has a finish that I can’t quite put my finger on, but this thing has an "ice cream finish" or quality about it. I found it to be quite enjoyable--perhaps because what I had was on tap, versus in a bottle. rocbyter (914), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Draft at Atlantic City Beerfest. Pours nice dark brown with an average size frothy head. Not much going on in the nose, slight nuttiness and some roasted malts. Over carbonated thin watery body. Flavor similiar to the aroma and very bland.
