Big, fluffy head; recedes with a center dome. Cloudy, but solid gold color. Nice soft floral hop aroma. Attractive in a mild way. Slightly sour which is distracting. Otherwise, this is a pleasant, if soft, beer with a light malt flavor. Good hop balance. A touch of fruitiness. Rich body for the style.

Another beer with a different look, a different name, and yet tastes the same as the rest of the bad pee hops used in the other beers. All metallic.

December 2008 Beer of the Month Club

Overall Impression: This was a nice smooth Blonde Ale, not too unique, but it drinks well

Beer of the month club, Jan. Just all kinds of things going on with this beer, and not in a good way. Plenty of bizarre flavors, metallic, etc. This beer, and pretty much the whole style, is skippable.

Opaque straw with light white head. Sweet straw and citrussy orange and grapefruit aroma. LIght, crisp citrussy bite at the tip of the tongue. Very lightly roasted malt with a little sweetness and a light hop bite. The taste lasts with a bit of the sweetnes and a hop bitterness along the middle of the tongue. A nice session beer. The tasts is nothing special, but the flavor is nice enough to have a few and not get bored with it.

A cloudy, dark gold pourwith a large, tight bubbled, pure white head. The flavor was much lighter than the dark color would imply. The hops also had a light touch. It goes down quickly, a good session beer. The head held up well. Not much of an aftertaste.

This has got a nice aroma, something I should be able to place but can’t right now. Quite dark for a golden, almost orange. Fruity coriander maybe? I was quite impressed with this. The flavor is sharp, maybe a bit too fruity to be a true session beer, but mostly a solid beer. Quite surprised that I liked it so much and that others didn’t.

Bottle courtesy of golubj. Pours a light amber, ruddy gold color with a short lasting head. Aroma of biscuit with a citrus bite. Agree with Jon that this was very familiar. I actually quite enjoyed the flavor and found it both balanced and hoppy for the style. Biscuit, lemon, citrus and earth. Would work best as a summertime beer.
