COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Autumn. Included in 2011 JDW Autumn Beer Festival. Bottle: Unfiltered.
Originally brewed to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, Flagship is an India Pale Ale style of beer – strong in alcohol, and very hoppy. Admiral hops contribute to a full fruity mouth feel, and a sweet fruity aroma.

I struggle to give it a three. One can find the aroma of grapes and passion fruit hidden behind a skunkiness, but that is already a turn off. The beer is not cloudy, but actually a suspension of microscopically-visible particles. One dimensional-flavour of malt/biscuit, migrating towards a dry bitterness at the finish. The overall result is less than memorable.
