3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Hallstein (54) - Skogn, NORWAY - APR 8, 2013
A nice typical pale-ale aroma meets me with scents of english goldings hops. Floral, slightly spicy and sweet. In the flavor i get more goldings hops, caramel, and maybe some nuttyness. perfect low carbonation, good for the style. a good fitting bitterness for the style.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ClubGonzo (2764) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 28, 2013
Bottle. Pours a light amber body with a small, short-lasting white head. Nose is caramel, bread dough, biscuits and hints of red fruits. Taste is bready caramel, grassy hops, smooth malt tones and hints of red fruits again. Medium body, soft carbonation. Fair enough, but I’d think a "flagship" ale would call for something with more "oomph", even for a traditional British beverage.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sigmund (4280) - Tau, NORWAY - MAR 22, 2013
500 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Deep golden to amber colour, low white head, leaves a nice lacing. The aroma has notes of toffee, malts and some fruit. The flavour is more malty than hoppy, with toffee and blackcurrant notes, but not very sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. This is hardly an IPA by any stretch of the mind, but a fairly decent premium bitter. Very drinkable.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 yngwie (10798) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 19, 2013
Bottle. A fluffy, dense, off-white head sits on top of a clear, golden body. The aroma has a note of cooked vegetables, as well as caramel maltyness and some dried fruits. The flavor is rather mellow, but boring. Caramel maltyness, some dried fruits, and a little bitterness. Full body, quite dry, and pleasantly carbonated. Lasting finish. Nothing impressive going on here, but it’s a decent beer anyway. 130119
