A premium pale ale with distinctive fruity taste. The beer is light in colour, and has a refreshing clean flavour, which belies its strength.

Bottle. BB Nov 12, therefore not going to write off entirely and to account for on score. Pours clear amber gold with decent off white head, diminishing into a nice soapy film, yet still evident until the last drop with some lace residing. Aromas of sweet toffee caramel and butterscotch together with a woody, grainy, hay, toast with some floral herbal hop character. Medium chewy body, medium carbonation and generous bitterness. Malt sweetness towards the finish bringing a very desirable butter caramel character alongside the lingering and balanced bitterness. Pleasant drop. Would be keen to try fresh if possible.

Light copper coloured beer with not much head on top. Aroma has grassy hops and barley malts. Almost like straws in the aroma, I totally get the Haymaker name now. Taste has grassy hops, lots of malts, maybe wheat but mainly barley. Light body with high carbonation.

It has a really strong honey aroma, otherwise not that special, really bitter too.

How could they brew so light beer for haymakers back in the day? Lovely bitter, a hint of grass. Yet, I’m not a fan of bitters.

Bottle from Würzburger Fass in .. Würzburg. Deep amber colour with dense white head. Aroma is mild yeast notes and some caramel. Taste merges a reasonably strong caramel malt with generic hop bitterness. Stays relatively dry though. Good drinkability but nothing that interesting.

In short: fruity pale ale.
Pours clear deep gold with little whie head. Short head retention, some lacing. Fruity, some citrusy aromas. Medium body, average carbonation ,light crispy texture. Taste is some bitter fruity. British malts and character. Enjoyable.

Modest pearl white head, deep golden-amber clear body, crocheted spangled lacings. Aroma; malts with roasted sides, bread, herbs and hops with a distinct spicy edge (Golding). Taste; hops, slightly roasted malts, bitter, bread, herbs, grains. Feels clean and normal, modest carbonation. Finish contains hops, malts are more roasted, notes of bitter sauce. Smooth and premium, I agree fully. [50cl brown btl, abv5%, 4€, BB16AUG14]

Decent head gives of a mellow fruity aroma. Great silky mouthfeel and a not overly complex but fresh and solid malt profile. Biscuit, honey, marmalade. An incredibly pleasant and refreshing long bitter finish finishes off an enjoyable and rewarding brew. Recommend.

Kupferfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, malzig, etwas fruchtig, etwas Karamell. Geschmack leicht hopfig bitter, sehr malzig, würzig.
