50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Mild fruity hops aroma with a mild spice note. Flavour is medium dry and slight breadish with a light bitterness showing through. Smooth and dry finish. Nice one.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow amber color, with a fizzy white head and wet dripping lacing. Some sweet floral notes, grain and distant subdued corn. Sweet malt flavors, some gingerbread, interesting grainy feel. Pretty basic, but tasty and very drinkable.

Pours clear golden / orange with a tan head. The aroma has dry caramel malt, crackers, dough and a hint of butterscotch. Medium body that is a bit slick then there is a lot of carbonation. The flavor starts with dry biscuits with a bit of caramel, some spicy hops and is on the watery side. The finish is like lightly sweetened spiced crackers. Fair.

Bottle from John’s Marketplace in Portland OR. Copper amber color with a minimal white head. Nice fruity esters over lightly roasted caramel. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is apple, a little spice, and a light caramel undertone. Finish is fairly balanced. Gets firmly bitter as consumption continues. Definitely a session ale. Goes down like there’s no end to it, but there is.

500 ml. Clear and shiny orange-copper with a small but lasting cream above. Slight aroma of spicy apple and caramel. Flavors of orange, cinnamon-apple and a nice bitterness from some light wood. Light body is watery, lightly carbonated and dry. Good session bitter; would be really nice at about 1.5-to-2 times the abv.

13-Jun-08 (500-ml bottle: Purchased 02-May-08 for $4.99 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) Clean, light and dry, this is a malty beer with a nutty quality and a lightly bitter finish. While drinking the beer, the grainy backing of the malt is vaguely reminiscent of a pale lager, but the dry toastiness and lightly roasted nuttiness in the forefront and gentle fruitiness in the background give this beer greater depth and pleasant, lasting flavor. Dry, nutty, and slightly fruity nose. Light-medium body with soft carbonation. Golden-amber in color with perfect clarity. Small, off-white head settles to a thin ring. A nice session ale with a flavor profile that won’t distract you from your conversation.
