A well balanced golden bitter, dry and malty on the palate. Hoppy bitterness in aroma and taste. Winner of a Silver Medal in the 1996 Brewery Industry International Awards.

I tasted some fruit and a little malt with a alright bitterness at the end, a little too thin for me. A nice session beer but I prefer Old Hooky

Bottle. Bright gold with sustained snowy head which clings to glass. Very malty nose and taste short finish with strong hints of coconut and sniffs of caramel and banana. Slightly watery. Bit of a disappointment.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light to medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, orange), lightly yeasty (dough, sweat). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Kinda lame yeast strain (stinky feet-ish). Watery, thin, simple. Eh.

Fruity nose - like rotten apples. Clear orange color and a dissappating head that turns to a low scum. Quick, thin apple malt flavor followed by a dainty, gritty bitter. Leaves a dirty feel in the mouth. Weak, really, and not so good.

Light orange brown color, liveley carbonation, but no head. Ripe apple most and wet grass nose, but weak. Medium hoppy, horse blanket taste. Goes by fast at is very thin.

Small offwhite head, retention is short lived with very little lace. Clear, amber orange color. Nose is lightly grainy, metallic, copper, some oxydation. Body is light, dry on the palate. Lightly fruity flavors, woodsy, caramel maltiness, dry and lightly bready, . Dry, nutty, leafy finish. Bottle acquired @statelineliquors.

Bottled, pasteurised. Golden colour with slight white head. Doesn’t fare too well in a pasteurised bottle in my opinion, the subtelties are lost, the delicate bitterness and malty sweetness. This has a harsher flavour, one dimensional with a harder bitterness on the finish.
