COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Previously Best Bitter, name changed in to Hooky Bitter in April 2005. "Bitter" subsequently dropped from the name. ABV reduced from 3.6% to 3.5% in 2012.
A subtly balanced, golden bitter, hoppy to the nose, malty on the palate - the classic session beer, eminently drinkable.

Cask at The Gunmakers, London. Pours clear gold with a prickly, white foam head. Some mild fruits in the nose, along with hay. Light sweet flavor with hay, mild cereal and dough, faint leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary sweet finish with doughy bread, very light leafy bitterness, straw and hay. Very basic. Like a cross between a bitter and a golden ale, I would say.

Cask at Oxford Pub, London. A hazy amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt and toffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and elderflowers, leading to a dry elderflower finish.

[3181-20100729] Cask. Odd floral hops soap aroma. Clear, light orange body with a quick bubbly head. Little soapy hops flavour has more oddness to it. Medium body. Weird combination of floral and soapiness.
