COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
Pale, delicately fruity and refreshing. Hooky Gold is a beer which marries English tradition with American pizzazz. It is the first of our beers to use an American hop variety, Willamette, grown in Oregon, and having moderate bitterness with a spicy, noble hop aroma.

Clear amber with a beige head. Malty aroma with fruits and hops. Flavour had toasted malt, caramel and fruity hops. Finished dry and slightly bitter.

Golden beer with weak and white head. Aroma is refreshning and balanced, tropical fruits, grapefruits, some toffee and pine needles. Flavour is similar than aroma, however, quite dry, tropical fruits, biscuits, nicely medium bitterness and some mustyness in the end. Quite easy and light to drink with medium carbonation. Succesfully, quite light beer together with american style hoppiness brings more fruitfull freshness, I recommend this beer.

500 ml. Crystal clear yellow/gold with pure white head. Cracker and bread malts mix with grassy, lemony hops (Fuggles and Willamette....there’s also EKG which I don’t detect). The overall effect is one of warmth and light fruitiness. Not bitter, but not too sweet either. nice, but pricey in the States.

500 ml bottle. Finland.
Clear golden colour with small white head. Fruity tea-like bitter hops in aroma. Flavour is also bitter tea-like fruity hoppy but very strong. Dry harsh bitterness in aftertaste.

Bottled (K-Kamppi, BB 12/2010)
Golden color, decent cloudy white head, lace. Dry yeasty, zesty and lemon hoppy nose. Light to medium bodied. Zesty, lemony flavor. Lingering citrusy hoppyness in the aftertaste. Reasonably tasty for being 4.2% only, but maybe a bit too one-dimensional.

Refreshin, nice hoppy and grassy aroma and flavor with a medium dryness. Quite bitter after taste has to be flushed away sooner or later or it starts to annoy.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some floral hops as well as some mild mild grassy and malty notes. Flavour is quite grassy and spicy with some smooth maltyness to back the bitterness up. As it warms up a bit the bitterness in it grows.

Bottle. Golden beer with a strong head. The aroma is very dry and fruity caramel hopped, and the flavour is nicely biiter and fruity. Overall a nice tasty beer.

In the bottle at the 2008 Crescent Moon Summer Beer Fest. Pours gold with a white head. Has a slight lemon aroma. Body is thin, crisp and a bit watery. There’s nothing of note here. I get a little bit of a buttery taste. The ending has a drying hop bitterness.
