Pale, delicately fruity and refreshing. Hooky Gold is a beer which marries English tradition with American pizzazz. It is the first of our beers to use an American hop variety, Willamette, grown in Oregon, and having moderate bitterness with a spicy, noble hop aroma.

pours a light golden colour with minimal head. reasonable amount of hoppines (citrus, grass and floral n small amounts.) Tastes very refreshing, not too much of anything but i did find the finish quite bitter. a good beer for a sunny afternoon.

Nice yellow to golden colour, hence the name i guess. Smells like pilsener malts. Tastes like a bitter pilsener. Quite dry, active and bitter.

Amber body, white head. Aroma has lots of nuts and earthy spicy hops. Flavour is nice with nuts, wood, ending dry bitterness. Overcoming hops.

Bottle: Deep golden, a bit unclear, small - but stable and lacy - white head, hoppy - english peppery - dry nose with a juicy malty base; moderate dry bitter flavour, light bodied; slightly lingering dry hoppy-malty finish. Good, spicy session beer.....

500ml bottle. Pours golden with a lot of fluffy white foam. Aroma of citrus, fruits and a light scent of biscuits later on. Taste begins quickly with biscuits before it is run over by the citrusy fruitiness. This is soon crushed by grapefruit and pine with a piney aftertaste, the grapefruit retreating into the background. Palate is medium with not much carbonation. Very drinkable. Had with chicken meatballs and roasted root vegetables. Worked very well otherwise, but the taste is not strong enough to compete with onions.

500 ml bottle.
Pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. Somewhat lacy. Aroma of caramel malts with mild honey and hops. Flavour of dried fruits, floral hops, grass and caramel. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel and a bitter finish. Quite good for such a low-ABV brew.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Fruity hoppy aroma with notes of lemon, orange zests and tangerines. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a mild carbonation. Soft malty base with fruity and bitter-zesty hoppy notes; dry and moderately bitter and fruity hoppy finish with a tinge of malty sweetness. Aromatic and easy-going Ale. 10.XII.10

Golden colour and white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. Rather bitter with fruity and spicy flavour. Grassy hoppiness. Interesting mixture of hops all together. Medium carbonated.
