Pale, delicately fruity and refreshing. Hooky Gold is a beer which marries English tradition with American pizzazz. It is the first of our beers to use an American hop variety, Willamette, grown in Oregon, and having moderate bitterness with a spicy, noble hop aroma.

Bottle 500 ml at home, poured into a Guinness glass, ABV 4.1% Pours a deep golden yellow beer, with a tall head, thick and soapy, white in colour, with great retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, flowers, lemon zest. Taste is quite hoppy, with some caramel and malts in there, flowers, perfume, some citrus. Bitterness that builds up, hitting its highest point on the aftertaste. Medium thin body, good carbonation, very dry palate. Overall this was very good, certainly much better than what I was expecting.
