500ml bottle cellar cool. Lemony aroma, beautiful golden clarity, tight whit head that left lacing down the glass as I topped it up. Citrus and kiwi flavour with a nice bitter finish. Light and thin in a good way, average carbonation. One to swig on a summer day, and enjoy a gently repeating burp.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2012
Brown 500ml bottle, drank and reviewed a week after its best before date in Jan 2011.
Poured into an ’Abbot Ale’ glass tankard: pale yellow/golden body with full, deep white foamy head which produced some good lacing.
The nose is citrusy hops (three types of hops used, American Willamette, with British Fuggles and Goldings.
The flavour was mostly hops, semi-sweet tasting more that a hoppy bitterness, that came later in the mouthfeel.
A nice refreshing pint, ideal for summer drinking, but also fine for cold winter nights too.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 wlajwl (1807) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - FEB 2, 2012
Aroma is fruit-based, similar to a bitter along with a hint of the aforementioned American hops. The flavor is tropical fruit and citrus hops that mix well together. I don’t think I’ve ever had a blonde/golden ale with this much flavor, this was a great ale, probably be even better in the summer than in February.
