3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2010-07-29. Crisp yellow body with a small foamy white head. 3+ Flavour has more zippy hops than the others, light lemon and grapefruit citrus, lingering citrus zest. 7+ Modest aroma, light nuanced citrus, mild pale malt. + Smooth average plus palate suits the beer. Very drinkable, possibly their most interesting imho. Cask at Hook Norton Brewery

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: APR 15, 2012 Cask conditioned handpump Four Candles Oxford. Something seriously wrong here although it looked fine with its golden colour and off-white head. Fruit skins and dirty water and not a lot else. No American hops and no sign of the Hook Norton signature qualities. I remember having a shocking half of Hooky Bitter in Birmingham once. This was worse. I will attempt to give it another go, but for now.....Score 1.5
