COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Special;
A brand new beer has been specially brewed by Hook Norton Ales to commemorate the county's millennium year. 'Inspired', is a real Oxfordshire beverage: brewed with barley malt form Swalcliffe, hops from Kingston Bagpuize and water from Hook Norton's own wells. During the course of producing 'Inspired', Oxfordshire suffered devastating floods. The beer is therefore dedicated to all those who assisted in dealing with the flooding and aided those affected. The beer was launched in early September and will be available in selected pubs in Oxfordshire.

Cask conditioned at Adderbury Beer Fest ’07. Deep gold with slight white head. Sharp, slightly acidc maltiness which goes over to a slight sweetness which lasts through the beer. There is a peppery hop to round the beer off, an interesting brew that won the Beer of this Festival award in the Public voting.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Vat & Fiddle Nottingham A golden coloured beer with a bright white head. The aroma is a bit fruity which carries through to the taste. Quite sweet with underlying notes of grass and cream. It’s OK.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Honey pale malts, grassy light hay hop character, bit of dusty dried fruits. Not hot, a bit annoying concidering id been recommended it by 3 different tickers as the best beer on.

Cask gravity at Bedford Beer Festival ’07. What the...? An oddity from Hook Norton. Gold with a sweet farmyardy aroma. Sweet fruity taste but plenty of bitterness. Have to say I didn’t like it much. But I’m really sorry about the flooding in Oxfordshire.
