Crystal red amber pour. Chocolate maltiness and leafy hops in the nose. Honey, tea, caramel, grapefruit. Lots more tangy hops than the cask. Less mellow creaminess and honey. Even pasteurised, something of an understated, easy-drinking yet complex classic.

Cobber of color with an off-white head. An aroma of toffee, hops and sweet malt. A flavor with hints of caramell, hops and apples.

Nice colour, but thin in body. Nice bitter taste maybe too much for some. Drinks while room temperature as well as cold.

Amber with off white head. Malty caramel with fruity tones. Ok body with overall moderate taste. Pleasant slight bitter end. Simple but quite drinkable!

Bottle. Deep reddish amber, clear. Fruity aroma promising apples, but also some raisins and toffee.Very good raisins flavours, kept dry and bitter, despite the toffee presence. Medium to full body. Very enjoyable.

Bought this is a clear bottle in Amsterdam drank it in Harem. Nutty Fruity with a hoppy sweetness finish. Page 234 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide on 368 out of 500 Classic Brews to go. Had on cask in England recently I think boring sums it up.

Bottle from Asda, High Wycombe poured chestnut with a beige head; pleasant fruity aroma; sweet malty flavour with traces of boiled sweets and pear drops and a dry hoppy aftertaste.
