Pours a clear amber with alight tan head. The smell is fruity, mild underlying malt sweetness. The taste is fruity, some mild caramel ending dry and fruity. The body is light but a bit slice with average carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2014 Pleasant, fairly full body malty beer with good amount of bitterness, small amount of fruitiness (raisins) little hops, nice fruity and slight cigar aroma, but. Like this beer and Pretty good option for the price I paid in Oz at $3 for one 500ml, which is cheaper than mainstream Aussie lagers and much better.

Unusual beer, tasted a lot like unfermented malt extract to me. I did drink this after the sublime Coopers Vintage ale so my taste buds were spoilt with excellence.

If there’s a beer that I have an enduring affection for, it is ESB. It reminds me of my ancestry, and somehow drinking it just feels right. This one is a good example: on the rosy copper side of golden with an enduring thick cream coloured head that lasted to the bottom of the glass. It smells of fruity malts and gentle woody hoppiness, but dominated by that cracked malt aroma that is quite delicious. It puts me in mind of Bakewell Tart with its fruitiness and sweet pastry character. A taste reveals those same flavours with a lovely balance of bitterness and sweet malt with both enduring. I just want more... can I have more? Please?
