3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A hazy red-orange beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and dust. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of toffee, but also some fruity notes of oranges and a nutty dry finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very pretty, clear amber with a dense, lasting head. Lovely fresh floral aroma. Rather light with some nutty notes. Not overly bitter - the hops add mostly aroma. Very classical bitter. 060601

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Hazy dark amer, firm, rocky head. The aroma is all about butterscotch. Really sweet and caramelly with that lovely Hook Norton malt character hidden in an abundance of sugar & toffee. Some grassy bitterness that tries to cope with the butterscotch. As a big fan of this brewer Iím disappointed, but still itís a decent brew.

Bottle from Tesco and drunk at home. Clear amber lasting beige head. Pasteurised toffee aroma. Some malt fruit. Itís a little better in the mouth. Some yeast, some malt flavours. Iíve always been a fan of Hooky and this is pretty decent. The pasteurisation isnít too harsh. Some peppery English hop finish. Some sweetness. I want to give it a higher score, but just not sure itís worth it. Bit of toast on the finish. I hate forced carbonation carbonic acid flavour.
