Bottled. Pasteurised.
A well balanced and full bodied beer demonstrating fruitiness, with the Crystal Malt content being distinctive. The hoppy mouth gives way to a sweeter finish.

500ml bottle. Pours copper with a good off-white head. Malty and yeasty aroma. A good amount of malt to taste, offset well by a touch of bitterness. Slightly sweet toffee and toast. A touch of honey and light floral notes. Not as heavy as it looks. A very nice, well balanced beer.

500 ml bottle into pint glass. Gusher! Toffee aroma, cloudy bronze beer with minimal head. Rich spritzy mouthfeel. Spicy, creamy bitter with subdued hop finish. Well balanced and delicious.

Bottle from Tesco and drunk at home. Clear amber lasting beige head. Pasteurised toffee aroma. Some malt fruit. It’s a little better in the mouth. Some yeast, some malt flavours. I’ve always been a fan of Hooky and this is pretty decent. The pasteurisation isn’t too harsh. Some peppery English hop finish. Some sweetness. I want to give it a higher score, but just not sure it’s worth it. Bit of toast on the finish. I hate forced carbonation carbonic acid flavour.

Pours deep golden with no head and soft carbonation. Nose of peaches, bubble gum. Taste is tangy, lemon, fruits, flowers but quite light with an immediate bitter hit and a medium finish. Nice smooth palate. Enjoyed it, but there are better.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, dried fruits and floral hops. Taste is similar of caramel malt, dried fruit, nuts, some berry sweetness plus floral, earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A fruity hop bitterness in the finish. A really easy drinking bitter, good but there’s better ESBs.

Solid bitter, but just not sure I’d seek it out again. Might buy if it was on a special offer but this won’t live long in the memory. Fair.

Fukito (891) - Sao Paulo, BRAZIL - JAN 2, 2015
Bottle. Pours a shinny orange/ light copper with golden hues with a medium, persistent creamy white head. Aroma is very faint yeasty fruitiness with a touch of butterscotch. Flavor is light crystal malts with flowery/ tea english hops, a touch of stale oxidation but fortunately fades. Medium to light palate, enjoyable and sessionable kind of heavy mild.
