(Cask at Penderels Oak JDW, Holborn, London, 20 May 2010) Dark ruby colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dark fruit, caramel and red berries. Malty, slightly fruity taste with dried fruit, caramel and a touch of red berries. Less than medium body, balanced sweetness, moderate bitterness. A decent mild, but hardly exciting.

Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. Poured a very dark ruby with a lasting one finger beige head. Perfumey, creamy milk chocolate aroma. Good choc and fruit sweetness, some roast bitterness in the finish. Soft palate texture, medium body and low carbonation. A pretty damn tasty mild.

Cask , gravity at Banbury Beer Festival 08-05-10 Pours dark brown with off-white head. The description is correct in that this is indeed fruity and a little sweet, but malty with some light chocolate touches that show as well, pleasant but lacking just a tad for a 4.6% mild. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Banbury Beer Festival 2010. A very dark brown beer with a whitish loose head. A good oatsy aroma with chocolate, fruit, licorice and light roast in the mouth. Some crunchy flavours to what is a really good mild.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’10. Dark brown with with creamy head. A keenly awaited beer launched at this festival. Fruity, darkly roasted mild with a sweetish malty note. A touch of roastiness with a plummy fruity background. Fairly straightforward.
