Twelve Days is a dark brown strong beer brewed for Christmas. A finely balanced ale, lightly hopped with a strong malt and nutty flavor. The strength gives the beer a smooth lingering aftertaste. A definite ale to savour.

Clear dark brown color, tan head. Acidic fruity juniper almost sour to lambic scent, still a bit subtle. Sweet but subtle taste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness.

Bottle. Amber color, offwhite head. Leather aroma,a bit strange and not what I want from a beer. Spicy leather flavor, some fruits, maybe some caramel.

Bottle form Johncy’s in North Liberty, IA. The body is medium brown with some dark orange highlights. A light tan colored head coveres the pretty brew. The aroma is largely raisins and cinnamon. There are also some strawberry hints. Whoppers candy, malt and chocolate dominate the taste. hiding behind that are some light rasins with a little bit of almonds and anise. Thin mouthfeel with a long lingering aftertaste.

500 ml bottle. Deep dark brown beer, creamy tan head. Swwet and toasty malts, dried fruit, pear/plums, dried cherry, raspberry and some soft malty molasses. A bit of ginger of light nutty candied flavour. Softly sweet on the finish. Warming brew, perfect for cooler days. Lovely beer.

Bottle. Deep brown with a moderate off-white head. Powerful aroma of sweet malt with supporting nuttiness. Flavour had plenty of dark fruit, marzipan, nuts and some hops in the finish. Very good.
