Twelve Days is a dark brown strong beer brewed for Christmas. A finely balanced ale, lightly hopped with a strong malt and nutty flavor. The strength gives the beer a smooth lingering aftertaste. A definite ale to savour.

Colabrown beer with a weak and blond head. Aroma is complex and interesting, roastiness, peanuts, fruitness and chocolate. Taste is nutty and malty, some roastiness, quite dry with balanced bitterness. Almost medium bodied to drink, quite nice. Again, personal and nice beer from Hook Norton, very interesting beer even points aren’t higher, I can recommend this beer to try.

Bottle. Moderate to heavy malt notes of roasted/toasted, moderate cooked orange for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with background notes of raisin, wood, toffee and bourbon. Head is small, wispy with bigger bubbles, off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is dark brown. flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and moderately acidic. Palate is medium, watery with lively carbonation. A smooth and easy drinking English Strong Ale with some nice deep aromas and flavors.

Bottle (damaged notes from the flooding of my basement). Sweetish aroma...all I could read.

Thanks to Robson for bringing this. For me this beer has the perfect color. Fantastic dark brown with a deep dark red glow coming through. Large lacy beige head. Smell malts, nuts, raisin and caramel. Taste is just English bitter. Carbo and body ok. Nice beer.

50cL bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with minimal head. Smells of roasted malt and some dark fruit. Tastes of roasted nut, caramel, brown sugar, and a hint of dark fruit. Although the alcohol content is somewhat low, the flavor is potent and full-bodied. Very smooth -- neither thick nor thin and with nice level of carbonation. Finish is smooth and bittersweet. A refined and well-balanced beer. I think a higher gravity, however, could give it a few more layers of complexity.
