Twelve Days is a dark brown strong beer brewed for Christmas. A finely balanced ale, lightly hopped with a strong malt and nutty flavor. The strength gives the beer a smooth lingering aftertaste. A definite ale to savour.

50cl bottle, no date. Somewhere just brown of ruby in color, thin white foam with quick fading retention but very nice lacing. Lots of caramel malts in the aroma, dried fruits and whatnot with some nuttiness. Nice firm bitterness keeps the malt attack from being cloying

Bottle@home Apperance: Dark brown with a creamy beige head. Some lacing. Aroma: Dark bread, Roasted malt, Dried fruit (pear!), Chocolate. Flavor: Roasted malts, Coffee, Chocolate, Nuts, Fruit, Dark caramel. Palate: Quite heavy on the roasted side with some pleasant bitterness at the end. Body is somewhat thin. Carbonation is just the way i like it (medium). Very drinkable english-style beer. Might need to buy this again if i can get my hands on it.

Pours a fairly dark brown, with a medium head. Aroma is of English hop, malt, and a bit of spice. The flavor follows, being more malty, with a hoppier finish. A very decent beer.

Needs a bit of agitation to produce a head, but it looks good - dark brown with red highlights. Detected some caramel and nuts on the nose. The taste is definitely driven by malty notes, with caramel, dried fruit and some nuttiness coming through. The spice is quite muted compared to say Brewdog?s There is No Santa, but is still evident. The body is a little thin and the palate a bit short, but pretty good overall.

Dark brown color with a thick tan head. Light aroma with a lot of chocolate, ryebread and some malty sweetness. Sweet flavor of chocolate, nuts and lightly roasted malt. Finishing with a touch of bitterness and coffee. Low carbonation.

50cL bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with minimal head. Smells of roasted malt and some dark fruit. Tastes of roasted nut, caramel, brown sugar, and a hint of dark fruit. Although the alcohol content is somewhat low, the flavor is potent and full-bodied. Very smooth -- neither thick nor thin and with nice level of carbonation. Finish is smooth and bittersweet. A refined and well-balanced beer. I think a higher gravity, however, could give it a few more layers of complexity.
