Bottled, Pasteurised.
Twelve Days is a dark brown strong beer brewed for Christmas. A finely balanced ale, lightly hopped with a strong malt and nutty flavor. The strength gives the beer a smooth lingering aftertaste. A definite ale to savour.

Bottle from The Beers of Europe shop near Kings Lynn, not bottle conditioned. Very deep buby brown colour. A great malty / beery smell. Flavours of chocolate, & malty coffeeness. A great dark beer

Bottle. Dark brown/ruby. Frothy head that dissipates quickly to a thin white covering. Mid level lacing. Muted, but enjoyable aromas of chocolate malt. Nice malt flavour up front with a long smooth mouthfeel filled with chocolate and a touch of coffee. A complex hop bitterness tempers any sweetness in the mid palate, begging you to take the next sip. Perfect carbonation allowing a delicious mouthfeel. I love this style. Subtle and so typically understated English, but still full of wonderful flavour.

Pours a fire brick red with a fizzy short lasting head. Aroma of lightly roasted caramel, coffee, and salted chestnuts. Flavors of dark fruits, toffee, caramel, and spices. Maybe a hint of sweet pipe tobacco. As the bottle warms more complexities show. I like this one!

50cl bottle, no date. Somewhere just brown of ruby in color, thin white foam with quick fading retention but very nice lacing. Lots of caramel malts in the aroma, dried fruits and whatnot with some nuttiness. Nice firm bitterness keeps the malt attack from being cloying

Flavor: Roasted malts, Coffee, Chocolate, Nuts, Fruit, Dark caramel. Palate: Quite heavy on the roasted side with some pleasant bitterness at the end. Body is somewhat thin. Carbonation is just the way i like it (medium). Very drinkable english-style beer. Might need to buy this again if i can get my hands on it.

Pours a fairly dark brown, with a medium head. Aroma is of English hop, malt, and a bit of spice. The flavor follows, being more malty, with a hoppier finish. A very decent beer.
