"light spices and the traditional thin english ale body. not offensive at all...even tasty as it warmed, but pretty basic and uninspired. pale chestnut color, smooth but too thin. little hops."

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a clear light copper body with a very fleeting fizzy off-white head. The aroma is really strong on the cinnamon, with lesser coriander. The spice combo is a bit reminiscent of potpourri actually. Some moderate toasty and sweet maltiness below all the spice. The flavor is really not all that spicy at all though, I think this was decently done. It’s more malt focused with toasty and lightly husky grains up front. The spice emerges on the finish, with the cinnamon lingering the longest. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, not the most exciting beer, but I won’t have trouble finishing the bottle.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
The pour is copper orange with excellent clarity and a short lived head that fades to nothing. Aroma of English malts, a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg, and something like an apple or pear. The body is thin the medium. The taste is refreshingly sweet but nothing that makes this stand above other Christmas seasonals. Modest bitter ending.
