Cask at the Victoria, Rugby - 12/12/12. Clear mid golden with a decent white head. Excellent lacing follows. Nose is a little muted, light fruit, hops, touch of soap. Taste pretty much marries the nose, light mineral tones, touch of mandarin. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Drinkable but most certainly in the Whelmning bracket !

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Curious aroma: metallic at first, then plastic and cardboard. Like... the interior of a cheap suitcase. Taste is really much the same, except there’s a suggestion of tomato soup. Some bitterness. Very peculiar beer. Wouldn’t want another, but I’m pleased I tried it.

2nd December 2008. Clear amber beer, no real head. Semi dry and slightly spicy with some lightly bitter hop. Suspiciously like hard work.

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Copper with a thin off-white head; roasted malt aroma; lots of deeping roasted malt flavour with touches of nuts, toffee and red fruit; leading to a spicy bitter finish. Very pleasant.

Cask (Pullman, Helsinki)
Mid orange, healthy head. Simple british ale aroma. Slightly mouldy and earthy taste. A touch nutty, with some bitterness too. Competent, but I’m not in the mood for it currently.
