3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (Kuikka, Helsinki)
Classic clean English bitter aroma. Lovely standard refreshing bitter loads of lightly roasted, slightly grainy, malts. and a touch of scotch ale horse blanketty mustiness. Soft bittering hops are quite subtle, but pleasant. Grainy and slightly bitter finish. Very simple, but so tasty and easy to drink.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Gravity cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, 6th Feb 2008. Rather yeasty aroma gets things off to a bad start. Golden yellow in colour, tastes like you’d expect a golden ale to taste. Flat palate however. Decent enough, but flawed and a bit uninspired.
